Import News: NZ Dollar Will Be Worth USD0.485 In September

Import News from the Importers Institute 7 June 2000 - NZ Dollar will be worth USD0.485 in September

The New Zealand dollar will be worth USD0.485 in September and USD0.565 12 months later. How do we know? Easy - we read the ANZ exchange rate forecast.

ANZ Bank economists also say our exchange rate will get worse before it gets better: the dollar could hit a low of USD0.44 in June before it starts climbing again.

How do they know? Well, actually, they don't - but they can make very well-informed guesses. And you can see those well-informed guesses through our website, where we now carry the ANZ Bank forecast at http://www.silva.co.nz/forex/. The forecast is updated quarterly, and makes very interesting reading.

Anyone can access our site's forex facilities. They include hourly updates of exchange rates from the National Bank and current Customs Exchange rates - both of which are free. The site also lets you order drafts and T/Ts online, at competitive rates.
