Roche Products Selects StayinFront For Asia Pacific

AUCKLAND, AUGUST, 2000. - StayinFront Asia Pacific Limited, a leading supplier of customer relationship management (CRM) software systems, has announced that Roche Products has purchased its CRM product, Visual Elk, to boost the effectiveness of its sales operation across Asia Pacific.

Already successfully deployed by Roche in Australia and New Zealand, countries such as China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore will now reap the benefits of this CRM system.

"We recognise the need to be proactive in understanding what our market is saying to us, why it is saying it and what we can do about it," says Iain Twentyman, Roche Products Asia Pacific Project Coordinator.

"Our sales people need accurate and comprehensive information on our customers to help them add value to these relationships. With facts and data at our fingertips we will have a better understanding of our customers and therefore a greater chance of satisfying their needs."

"Visual Elk will give us the power of information which we can then use to ensure we know our customers better. In turn, this will enable us to more easily identify opportunities and could ultimately become a key competitive advantage," says Twentyman.

Visual Elk will allow Roche Products across Asia Pacific to build and maintain complete profiles on customers. Information will be captured on purchase history, calls and contacts, to help manage relationships and assist in negotiating contracts, and supporting local customer loyalty initiatives.

"We're obviously excited about working with Roche in the Asia Pacific region," says Stephen Andrew, StayinFront's southern region sales manager.

"Visual Elk was able to provide to the Roche Asia Pacific Countries a product that could be rapidly configured to support the unique requirements of each country and is flexible enough to support ongoing change. Most importantly, Visual Elk allows translation into 'multi-byte' languages, such as simplified Chinese" says Andrew.

"Other important features were: synchronisation to support remote users across each Asia Pacific country, Visual Elk's full integration with Microsoft's Desktop environment, SQL Server and Lotus Notes, as well as Visual Elk's ability to interface with Roche Products transactional systems," he added.

"Our vision is to ensure a customer centric focus in Australasia and across Asia Pacific," says Iain Twentyman, "Visual Elk will have a major impact on achieving this."
