Key Rural Movers And Shakers To Speak At NZPI Conference

Mr Graeme Wong, and Mr Ray Parker, key rural and financial sector movers and shakers are to speak at the New Zealand Property Institute conference in Christchurch on May 16-18.

Part of a field of several high-class speakers at the conference, Graeme Wong has been involved in key parts of the economy. His presentation will be very interesting at a time when there is much change taking place, New Zealand Property Institute CEO, Conor English said today.

Also of particular interest to the rural sector will be Ray Parker, Chief Executive officer of Tasman Agriculture, which has just announced some major changes in direction and shareholding. He will give an interesting perspective on the rural and particularly, dairy scene.

Graeme has been the Executive Chairman of Southern Capital since its inception in November 1997. He has been involved in New Zealand capital markets since 1978 in share broking, financial markets and investment. Prior to the formation of Southern Capital, Graeme was the New Zealand Investment Manager for Brierley Investments Ltd (“BIL”), a position that he held from 1986. He has been a director of Sealord Group Limited, DB Group Ltd, Tasman Agriculture Ltd, The Van Diemens Land Company, At Work Insurance Limited (the SOE formed to insure workplace accidents by the previous National Government) and an alternate director of Air New Zealand Ltd.

Ray Parker has been CEO of Tasman Agriculture since 1991. He is also a director of The Van Diemen’s Land Company. Prior to taking up this current position, Ray worked for Charted accountants, Ernst & Young.
