XR6 Specification Increase At No Extra Cost To Motorist
Ford New Zealand has increased the specification level found in the popular Falcon XR6 High Performance (HP) sedan – at no additional cost to motorists.
From July, the XR6 (HP) will come complete with a six stack in-dash CD player, body coloured mirrors and side skirts.
The XR6 (HP) is the most popular seller out of the entire Falcon family, and accounted for 60% of total XR sales in New Zealand last year.
"These additions make the XR6 an even more attractive proposition, both in terms of aesthetics and specification," said Falcon Brand Manager, Ian Swann.
"It makes this vehicle a viable alternative for those who might be looking for a sports performance Falcon, without going to a 5.0L V8."
The XR6 High Performance (HP) is a proven performer in its own right, generating 164kW of power @ 5000rpm, and 366Nm of torque @ 3150rpm.
It also boasts low levels of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) and has fuel consumption figures that compare favorably against sports orientated performance vehicles of a similar ilk.
The recommended retail price of the AUII Ford Falcon XR6 HP is $48,000 and will be available in dealerships this month.
Also from early August, Ford is introducing a new range of colours available across the XR Falcon range. These include congo green, meteorite (graphite) and monsoon blue.
