ANZ Launches Specialist Website For Homebuyers

New Zealand's largest Internet banking operator, ANZ, has launched a specialist website for homebuyers - www.homebuying.co.nz

The new site, endorsed by New Zealand's largest on-line property website RealENZ, provides a number of first-time features to the country's prospective home buyers.

General Manager of RealENZ, Ross Barnes, said the features on the new site are a big step forward for homebuyers.

"The ability to manage a home loan on-line will be very convenient and efficient for ANZ customers, while the links and advice on the site demonstrate that the Bank is interested in providing people with much more than finance alone."

The new site features a step-by-step service for the home buying process, from saving for a deposit and finding a property, through to arranging finance, conveyancing and shifting. ANZ customers are also able to manage their home loan on-line, including checking balances and payment details, through to making loan repayments and applying for new lending.

www.homebuying.co.nz features links to other useful sites for prospective home buyers, such as the Education Review Office website to view reports on local schools. Users can also link through to Quotable Value New Zealand to find out the market value of their home or streamline their house hunting process by searching for properties on-line with RealENZ.

General Manager of Mortgages, Brigid Johnson, says the new site is an important step towards putting our customers in control of their own home loan finances.

"ANZ's Internet bank continues to grow at an incredible rate, at the end of April we had 140,000 registered customers, making ANZ New Zealand's largest Internet bank," she says.

"Part of that success is due to the Bank's 'eTransformation' strategy, which means taking traditional services such as those we provide for our home loan customers and developing them for on-line use. This site gives our customers more convenient access, information and hands on control of their home loan finances than ever before."

Mrs Johnson says all of the services on www.homebuying.co.nz, except for managing ANZ home loans, are available to the general public.
