Carter Holt Harvey Appoints Chief Of Information Technology

Russell Jones has been appointed Chief of Information Technology at Carter Holt Harvey.

Russell has overall responsibility for Information Technology and e-business, and will work with Oxygen Business Solutions and other IT providers to improve service levels, facilitate e-business adoption and manage the company's IT capital expenditure and costs.

Russell has been the company’s acting Chief Information Officer since November 2000, handling the commercialisation of Oxygen Business Solutions. Other positions he has held with the company include General Manager – e-business, General Manager – Performance Improvement and Esprit Programme Director, in which role he was responsible for the implementation of SAP.

Prior to joining Carter Holt Harvey in 1995 Russell was Group Information Technology Manager for fine paper business Sappi Europe for five and a half years, based in London.

“Information technology and e-business are key to Carter Holt Harvey’s ability to innovate and change to meet its customers’ demands,” said Chris Liddell, Chief Executive Officer. “This senior appointment is a reflection of our commitment to investing in new technology and the depth of leadership talent within Carter Holt Harvey.”
