Dunedinites To Join The Gold Rush With Freedom Air

Value-based airline Freedom Air today launches a new weekly service direct from Dunedin to Australia's premier holiday destination, the Gold Coast. Developed in response to passenger demand, the new service is the first direct airline connection between the two destinations and will deliver passengers to Gold Coast Airport, just 20 minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise.

The new Dunedin-Gold Coast service comes on the back of Freedom Air's popular Dunedin to Brisbane direct service. Operating into both sunshine ports will give travellers a great deal more holiday options. Lead-in fares for the new service start from $529*, with flights each Wednesday. Book online at www.freedomair.com Wayne Dodge, Freedom Air vice-president/general manager, says the new Gold Coast service is as a result of customer requests. "We're delighted to take on board those requests and launch this new service, which offers Dunedin travellers value-for-money access to a great holiday destination - and a complete change of climate."

The new service makes Freedom Air the only airline providing a direct service between Dunedin and the Gold Coast. The coast, Australia's solid gold holiday destination, has long been a kiwi favourite. It is famed for 300 days

of sunshine a year and its 70 kilometres of uninterrupted coastline. The coast also boasts wonderful surf beaches, wildlife sanctuaries, farm resorts, water sports and fabulous cuisine.
