DFNZ applauds release of Shareholders Council AR

PR112/02 DFNZ applauds release of Fonterra Shareholders Council Annual Report

Dairy Farmers of New Zealand (DFNZ) has applauded the release of an excellent first annual report from the Fonterra Shareholders Council.

DFNZ Chairman Kevin Wooding says the release of the report at this time will provide sufficient opportunity for shareholders to review the report before the upcoming accounts meetings.

"It appears to be a balanced report indicating positive aspects of Fonterra's performance along with areas where there must be improvement, said Mr Wooding.

"DFNZ will reserve comment on the report until the organisation as had time to review it. It is important to note that the Shareholders Council is taking their role seriously as a cornerstone representative of Fonterra suppliers."
