Sctoom- 1 year old and in the black

Auckland/Gulf Harbour – Marketing Communications agency Sctoom Incorporated (NZ) Ltd. has turned one year old and is operating in the black.

In the past year, the company has transformed itself from a relatively unknown operation to ‘the new black’ for all types of communications and advertising products.

Last month (April, 2003) Sctoom opened a second office – located in the new East on Quay office building complex in Parnell, Auckland. With an impressive client list, and multi-million dollar accounts to match, the company is riding high and well positioned to continue building on the past year’s successes. The secret to that success can be summed up in two words: simple honesty.

As company CEO David Mack explains, “At Sctoom we don’t tell clients what they want to hear. We tell them if a product or idea stinks. We don’t candy coat it, we deliver it straight up with no smoke and mirrors, and our clients like that.”

Sctoom’s unorthodox approach has enabled the organization to win over some key clients, including Gateway to Queensland, Sanctum Apartments, and Starline. In the process, it has carved out a reputation for delivering high-quality, honest and effective marketing products.

Having grown from a one-man operation, the company now employs 13 staff members and is poised to launch a new office in Wellington later this year. Sctoom has successfully transformed itself into a serious contender in the Auckland business scene with both an impressive client list and solid financial base.
