SG Lawyer Chairs Intellectual Property Group

Simpson Grierson Lawyer Chairs Top International Law Firm Network’s Intellectual Property Group

Simpson Grierson partner and leading intellectual property lawyer Earl Gray has been appointed Chair of Lex Mundi’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Lex Mundi is a network of 160 top tier international law firms representing approximately 15,000 lawyers in 98 countries worldwide.

Member firms are recognised as leaders in their home country, state or province and Simpson Grierson is the only New Zealand member. A survey recently found that Lex Mundi had easily the highest recognition factor amongst the world’s largest and top tier law firm networks. During his two year term, Mr Gray’s role will be to drive Lex Mundi's efforts to continually develop and benefit the member firms' intellectual property practices by:

Coordinating projects to share information and ideas about improvements in practice management and development; Seeking out ways that member firms can work together to serve clients and increase their intellectual property practice; Enhancing the quality of relationships between member firms; Sharing information about relevant legal issues in member jurisdictions. Mr Gray's appointment took place at Lex Mundi's annual conference in San Francisco.

Mr Gray heads Simpson Grierson's intellectual property practice and is a key member of the x-tech group which incorporates the firm’s biotechnology, intellectual property, telecommunications and information technology practices.
