SUCCESS COMES IN THREES

Harnessing the power of three has never been more successful with a new diary system that helps you to actually achieve those New Year's resolutions, while giving you more time in the day.

The GoalSetter's Diary 2004, launched this month, breaks goal-setting down into three achievable goals for each year, each month and each day. This revolutionary system focuses the user to be better organised so they can get more work done in less time, thus freeing them up to do more work or have more leisure time.

Produced by Goal Publishing Ltd, the GoalSetter's Diary system has been 10 years in development. The three New Zealand entrepreneurs behind the system and directors of the company, John Triggs, a former professional squash coach, David Bartlett, a leading brand designer, and Neville Jones, a print production expert, all firmly believe in the system and its benefits.

Mr Triggs has used the goal-setting approach for 15 years with his players and himself, but could never find a diary on the market that met his needs so decided to produce one himself.

"Goal-setting has never been more important in our lives - both personally and professionally. The GoalSetter's Diary system helps prioritise your goals and keeps you moving towards your dreams. It also helps people to find their passion for what they're doing and to feel fulfilled doing it," he says.

"Unlike other more complex time-management systems, the GoalSetter's Diary is cheaper and easier to maintain on an ongoing basis. It is purely an achievement-oriented tool that puts goals and objectives first, with time-management a distant second."

An integral part of the GoalSetter's Diary, and a major point of difference to the other systems on the market, is the extensive package the user receives to support their use of the diary in their business. It features a fully interactive online service with regular goal-setting news, tips, case studies and updates (www.goalsetters.co.nz), personal support from a goal-setting coach via weekly emails and a CD featuring music to help the user get down to work.

Mr Triggs says the diary is ideal for people in all walks of life, from sportspeople to small business owners, to salespeople and marketers. He believes companies that base meetings and their work environment on the GoalSetter's Diary create a 'same-page' setting - everyone working towards the same goals with all of the benefits resulting from that.

"We wanted to create something that truly makes a difference - and we're very proud of the GoalSetter's Diary," says Mr Triggs.

Goal Publishing intends to market the GoalSetter's Diary system offshore and has already received interest from the United Kingdom.
