New Independent Director Bolsters Ballance Board

The board of Ballance Agri-Nutrients welcomes David Pilkington to its ranks as a new independent Director.

Mr Pilkington holds a number of directorships and has had a substantial executive career in the primary sector, most recently being Managing Director of New Zealand Milk Limited, Fonterra’s global consumer products business.

“Mr Pilkington brings immense experience to Ballance and will add another valuable layer of expertise to our board,” says David Graham, Chairman Ballance Agri-Nutrients.

“His familiarity with domestic and international markets through his 30 year association with a similar agricultural co-operative will deliver significant value and know-how to Ballance.

“Mr Pilkington is highly respected in the primary sector and we are pleased to have him contributing to our board and to the future of our company,” he says.

Mr Pilkington is looking forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the co-operative.

The Board of Ballance Agri-Nutrients Co-operative consists of eight elected directors and two independent directors who are appointed by the elected board.

Mr Pilkington also holds directorships of Dairy Partners of America, Dairy Containers Limited, Pastoral Foods Limited, Milk Products Holding and Rangioutu Pastoral Holdings.

He has held significant senior management roles in the New Zealand Dairy Board and in Fonterra.
