Commission receives Bondor clearance application
Commission receives clearance application from Bondor NZ
The Commerce Commission has received an application from Bondor New Zealand Limited seeking clearance to acquire the assets of the insulated panel business of Long International Limited.
Bondor New Zealand is involved in the manufacture of polystyrene blocks and sheets, polystyrene based architectural claddings and polystyrene insulated panels for use in temperature controlled structures.
Long International also manufactures polystyrene blocks and sheets, polystyrene based architectural claddings and polystyrene based insulated panels.
The proposed acquisition would involve only the architectural claddings and insulated panels operations, with Long International continuing to manufacture and supply polystyrene blocks and sheets independently.
In considering the application, the Commission’s role is to determine whether the proposed acquisition has the effect of substantially lessening competition in a market.
A public
version of the application will shortly be available on the
Commission’s website under Adjudication. Commission media
releases can be viewed on its web site http://www.comcom.govt.nz
