MEDIA RELEASE

Pacific Blue And ‘Europcar’ Drive A New Partnership

Low Fare Airline And Leading Car Hire Company Join Forces For Great Deals

International carrier, Pacific Blue Airlines*, and one of Australasia’s leading car rental companies, ‘Europcar’, have forged a new relationship set to benefit travellers with special fly-drive deals.

Pacific Blue’s sister airline, Virgin Blue, already has a well established relationship with Europcar in Australia and Pacific Blue is keen to share the benefits with its Trans-Tasman flyers.

The combined force means that joint marketing initiatives and simple online bookings through the Pacific Blue website will be available shortly, along with generous discounts and incentives for travellers flying Pacific Blue.

Pacific Blue Chief Executive, Tony Marks, said, “It’s all about offering value for money to our Guests without compromising our low cost base and the partnership with Europcar is a great example of two service focussed companies working together to provide good deals on top of already great fares.”

Europcar General Manager, Eoin MacNeill, described it as a win-win deal for travellers and the two companies.

“In New Zealand, Europcar’s affiliation is through National Car Rentals and we look forward to providing outstanding service to Pacific Blue Guests and offering a wide range of top gear vehicles from our large fleet of modern cars”, he said.

Europcar has vehicles ranging from small economy, large, 4WD’s, minibuses and specialty vehicles such as Volvo and Subaru – perfect for all aspects of the New Zealand terrain for those wanting to head to the ski-fields or take-off on a driving tour.
