Public Trust appoints Gary Delbridge as CFO

Public Trust has appointed Gary Delbridge as Chief Financial Officer.

Pat Waite, Public Trust’s Chief Executive said: “Gary has extensive experience in finance and banking, which will complement the skills of Public Trust’s executive team”.

The Chief Financial Officer’s role is new to Public Trust. It has been specifically created to further enable a strong focus on financial accounting, tax and funds administration.

A Victoria University BCA graduate, Mr Delbridge has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1981. He has over 25 years’ experience working in the banking, insurance and finance sectors.

He held a number of senior management positions at South Pacific Merchant Finance, The National Bank of New Zealand and ANZ. Most recently he has been working on the acquisition of the National Bank and its subsequent merger with ANZ.

Mr Delbridge is Wellington based and his interests include cycling, travelling and spending time with his family.

“Gary’s background and specialist knowledge will add to the breadth of expertise within the executive team and his appointment is consistent with Public Trust’s commitment to further developing our expertise across the organisation,” Mr Waite said.
