Masport Announces New Senior Appointment

New Zealand garden and heating leader, Masport Limited, has announced the appointment of Tania Morey to the position of Advertising and Promotions Manager.

Morey, who holds a Bachelor of Business Degree in Marketing and Advertising, was previously Advertising Manager at Whitcoulls. Based in Auckland, she takes responsibility for Masport’s domestic marketing activity, replacing David Woodward, who has been promoted.

She brings considerable experience in managing internal and external communications from her six years with the Whitcoulls Group. There, she was responsible for the development and implementation of promotional campaigns, advertising material, and internal communications processes.

“Tania has proven marketing expertise,” says Masport CEO Mark von Batenburg. “Her appointment is in line with Masport’s business strategy of developing and expanding the company’s communications with all its stakeholders, and we look forward to having her on board.”

About Masport Limited Founded in 1910, Masport originally made vacuum pumps and stationary engines for the farming industry. Within 20 years it had produced the first Masport ‘Rapid’ hand mower and by 1938 had produced the country’s first powered lawnmower. Today Masport manufactures and/or distributes more than 100 lawn and garden care products including barbecues, patio heaters and wood and gas fires some of which are exported to over 35 countries worldwide.
