Triple Bottom Line – a better way for business

Businesses in the Bay of Plenty are finding out first hand what Triple Bottom Line reporting is and why it is good for business. A workshop is being run by the Sustainable Business Network in Tauranga on September 16th to assist businesses in getting started with Triple Bottom Line reporting.

According to Calum Revfem, regional manager of the BOP Sustainable Business Network (SBN) “A Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach to doing business helps a business to realise environmental and people performance improvements that ultimately have a positive impact on the financial bottom line.”

Businesses with experience in TBL reporting presenting at the workshop include Sanford Sustainable Seafoods, Port of Tauranga, Wave Design & Marketing and the Sustainable Business Company. The workshop is specifically targeted at providing information and resources to help businesses that want to make a start in TBL reporting.

So far a range of different sized businesses have registered for the event from small professional services companies through to large export companies. For registration information businesses should contact the Sustainable Business Network bop@sustainable.org.nz or phone 07 5759266.

The workshop is part of an ongoing sustainable business programme provided by the Sustainable Business Network. The workshop is supported by Environment Bay of Plenty’s Environmental Enhancement Fund and KPMG Tauranga.
