Trophy Fever - Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Wins Decanter Trophy

On Wednesday September 15, Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2003 was awarded the International Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the Decanter World Wine Awards held in London.

Saint Clair winemaker, Matt Thomson, was at the awards to collect the trophy. This is the second trophy that Saint Clair has been awarded this month for the Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2003. Earlier this month this same wine won the top Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the International Wine Challenge, also held in London.

The last three successive vintages (2001, 2002 and 2003) of the Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc have won an outstanding 15 gold medals and 12 trophies at wine shows around the world. ‘This medal and trophy success make this wine one of New Zealand’s most awarded wines ever’, says Saint Clair managing director Neal Ibbotson.
