New Ford Courier V6 Out Grunts The Opposition

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 17 December

Power, performance and pulling prowess are three important attributes of the all new Ford Courier V6 – the eager and willing fresh faced new kid on the block in the light commercial vehicle segment.

The soon to be released Courier – which goes on sale on January 17 – offers a class topping 154kW of power at 5000rpm, and 322Nm of torque at 3000rpm.

"Ford Courier V6 boasts unrivalled power and operational usability. Its torque curve has to be seen to be believed, and then driven to fully appreciate and experience what it has to offer. The acceleration is remarkable, considering it is essentially a farm and building site workhorse at heart," said Light Commercial Brand Manager, Melissa Rushton.

The new Ford Courier V6 is available in either two or four wheel drive, and is motivated by a powerful 4.0L capacity engine mated to a 5 Speed Automatic. It has a tow rating of 2000kg on both the two and four wheel variants.

"Both two and four wheel drive models come in a XLX Double Cab configuration, and the generous payload means it is possible to carry up to 1100kg (1000kg on the four wheel drive model). That's the equivalent of five big burly blokes, all of their gear and then some," commented Ms. Rushton.

The recommended retail price of the powerful and feature laden workhorse Ford Courier V6 two wheel drive is $43,490, while the four wheel drive version is $52,490.
