150g Krispa Health Style Natural Potato Chips

150g Krispa Health Style Natural Potato Chips

Hansells New Zealand Limited has this morning announced the voluntary product recall of its 150g Krispa Health Style Natural Potato Chips date stamped best before 7th July 2005.

In announcing the local recall Hansells (NZ) Ltd managing director Stuart Walker says the recall is taking place as a precautionary measure in response to four customer service inquiries relating to the 150g Krispa Health Style Natural flavoured product.

“I stress that this recall will only affect those people who suffer from food allergies caused by soy, wheat or dairy,” Mr Walker said. This is a common condition in New Zealand and sufferers may experience a degree of gastrointestinal discomfort.

“We believe that a cross contamination with chicken flavour that contains soy, wheat and dairy ingredients has occurred in a small portion of a batch dated 7th July 2005” Mr. Walker said.

Affected packets represent less than 2% of the total batch, or 400 packets and are limited to distribution within the North Island.

“We take any recalls regarding the food industry seriously and would like to hear from any customers who may have concerns about this product. We welcome their calls on our special 0800 number” he said.

The free call number is 0800 687 543

Hansells (NZ) Ltd has been operating in this country for more than 70 years. It prides itself on looking after its customers. This is the first product recall by Hansells in more than four years.
