ACE Insurance appoints Michael Poole to the newly created position of Northern Regional Manager

ACE Insurance, a leader in the global insurance and reinsurance industry, has appointed Michael Poole to the newly created position of Northern Regional Manager. Michael will be based in ACE’s Auckland office.

Michael has held a number of senior positions with ACE Insurance, and its predecessor CIGNA Insurance New Zealand Limited, most recently he was General Manager of ACE’s Thailand operation. Michael was Southern Regional Manager at ACE in New Zealand from 1999-2001, when he moved to Australia to become Southern Region Casualty Manager and later State Manager for ACE’s Queensland operation.

The Northern Regional Manager role has been created to ensure there is a real focus on meeting brokers needs throughout Northland, Auckland, the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. This will enable quick decision making and ensure ACE products meet the needs of customers in this region. By creating this role, ACE is looking to replicate its successful model currently operating in the Central and Southern Region of the North Island and the South Island.

ACE has been operating in New Zealand for five years although its roots here date back to the 1920’s. New Zealand clients range from small businesses through to corporates and multinational concerns.
