Kiwi grocery shoppers reap the rewards

Progressive Enterprises (PEL) is celebrating the second birthday of its Foodtown Woolworths onecard and customers are enjoying the benefits.

In the last two years shoppers nationwide have received more than $19 million worth of onecard rewards. To mark the success, Foodtown and Woolworths customers will have the opportunity to win big during the onecard birthday month (June 6 to July 3).

Every time customers use their onecard during the four-week birthday celebration they will go in the draw to win two new Peugeot cars, collectively worth more than $85,000.

Customers will also have access to more than 4,000 onecard specials in Foodtown and Woolworths supermarkets.

PEL managing director Richard Umbers says customers are enjoying the benefits that the Foodtown Woolworths onecard provides.

"When we launched onecard in May 2003 our aim was to offer our customers 'bigger savings and better rewards'. We've definitely delivered on that promise.

"In the last year alone we have rewarded onecard customers with more than $11.6 million in grocery vouchers and we think that's worth celebrating.

"We believe it's fundamental to offer our customers rewards they can use, and everybody needs groceries."

Foodtown Woolworths onecard rewards customers with grocery cash vouchers, more than 2,500 instant in-store savings every week, plus other special promotions. There are currently more than 1.5 million onecards on issue nation-wide.
