Where do young Kiwis go online?

Where do young Kiwis go online?

Below is a ranking of the New Zealand websites in Nielsen//NetRatings’ Market Intelligence which attract a large proportion of people aged between 10 and 17 as a percentage of their total audience.

Nielsen//NetRatings has recently published eGeneration: Kids, Teens and Technology Market Report. According to the report, two thirds of young internet users have now been online for two years or more, and this growing base of experienced young users provides a key opportunity for online publishers and marketers as the range of activities online, particularly those involving registration and/or service charges, tend to increase with tenure. Children are being introduced to internet use as young as four years of age.

The eGeneration: Kids, Teens and Technology Market Report explores how New Zealand’s kids and teens (ages 6 – 17) interact with the internet and other new technologies, and their attitudes towards the evolving media landscape. The report also explores parental involvement and their attitudes towards how their children are interacting with the internet and new media.
