Evergreen Announces New Date for Annual General Meeting

Evergreen Forests Limited advised today that it will postpone the intended date for the 2005 Annual General Meeting from 28th October (as announced on 27th July) to 11th November.

Chairman Peter Wilson said the Board wished to hold a Special Meeting on the same day to seek shareholder approval to distribute a substantial proportion of the net proceeds arising from the sale of the majority of the land and forest assets now due for completion on 31st October.

The notice of meeting for both the Annual General Meeting and Special Meeting will be forwarded to shareholders on 28th October.
