New Zealand Toy Directory Launched

New Zealand Toy Directory Launched

New Zealand's largest online toy store, iQ Toys (www.iqtoys.co.nz), has sponsored the development of Toy Directory, a website of directory listings for the NZ Toy Industry.

The Toy Directory website, www.toydirectory.co.nz, contains listings of all toy retail stores, manufacturers, wholesalers, and toy hire companies in New Zealand.

"We now have over 500 listings now representing toy related businesses from all parts of New Zealand and the directory continues to grow each day" says Shane Loomb, founder.

The Toy Directory itself contains sections on Toy Retail Stores, Manufacturers & Wholesalers, Toy Hire Companies. One of the stated objectives for the Toy Directory is to bring together what is a very fragmented industry, says Shane "there are literally hundreds of 'Ma & Pa' operations and then at the other end of the scale you have the major players like Lego"

The Directory is also intended to be a focal point for news and event for the toy industry in New Zealand and overseas. Articles related to the toy industry can be directly submitted to the site for publication. The site can also be searched by keyword for articles, toy stores, manufacturers, wholesalers, or toy hire companies. In addition, there is a regional search feature, which allows you to easily find a toy store or hire company in your local town or city.

The Toy Directory will naturally promote Shane's other venture, iQ Toys, but it is also intended to be a valuable resource for all in the New Zealand toy industry.
