NZ's rising stars join forces for the future

NewThinking'06: New Zealand's rising stars join forces for the future

10 February 2006: The programme has been announced for NewThinking'06 a week of events and activities driven by some of New Zealand's leading organisations in the Biotechnology, ICT and Creative industries including NZ Bio, Kea, Incubators New Zealand along with the Design Institute of New Zealand, the New Zealand Venture Capital Association, and Connect New Zealand.

'NewThinking'06' is supported by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and takes place from February 27-March 3 2006 at the Sky City Convention Centre, Auckland.

The week focuses on drawing together a wealth of talent and expertise, and provides an essential business forum for New Zealand's rising stars that are ambitious about expanding offshore.

The Wake Up Call Launch Debate
The week will be launched on February 27 with an invitation-only breakfast debate, hosted by NZTE, on the importance of export and investment for New Zealand's future. This topical debate will set the scene for delegates and kick off a packed week of seminars, exhibitions, debates, business partnering forums and award ceremonies.

Staging the events in a single location will help bring New Zealand's knowledge-based sectors together and highlight the synergies between them, says NZTE chief executive Tim Gibson. "We applaud NZBio, Incubators New Zealand, and Kea for their commitment and collaboration in creating this fantastic event. NZTE is delighted to support this important initiative which will showcase New Zealand innovation and give companies a unique opportunity to share cross sector expertise, build vital connections and establish commercial relationships."
