Emirates Introduces Second Daily Flight To Zurich; NZ Connections

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is introducing a second daily non-stop service from Dubai to Zurich, effective October 29 this year, offering direct connections with its New Zealand services in both directions.

Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline, said: "The launch of Emirates' second daily flight to Zurich is in direct response to the increasing demand for our services. Our Zurich route has been an overwhelming success and the increased frequency is testament to that success and for the growing demand for the Emirates product.

"We are delighted to offer our customers the convenience of an optional timing from Dubai to Zurich, which will make it easier for them to meet their travel needs whether they are flying Emirates on business or pleasure."

Emirates has seen month-on-month growth of passengers travelling in both directions on this route. Premium passengers enjoy a host of benefits including access to Emirates lounges and complimentary chauffeur drive to and from the airport.

On the second daily flight the airline will use a 237-seat Airbus A330-200 aircraft, configured in three classes with 12 seats in First, 42 in Business and 183 in Economy. The new flight will also increase cargo capacity to Zurich, giving customers of Emirates SkyCargo greater flexibility in their operations.

From October 29, Zurich flights will depart Dubai at 8.45am and 4.15pm, arriving at the Swiss destination at 12.15pm and 7.45pm respectively. Return flights will depart Zurich at 2.45pm and 9.15pm, arriving in Dubai at 11.40pm and 6.10am respectively. All times are local.
