First Two Commercial Number Agreements Signed
Singapore based International Sports Television Pte Ltd (ISTV), which recently signed an agreement to market a range of Plus SMS Ltd products, has concluded the first two international short code number agreements on the Sub Continent and Australasia.
Making the announcement, Plus SMS chairman, Jim Bracknell, says both agreements - to license international short codes - are subject to Plus SMS approving the manner in which the numbers are to be used.
He says the first agreement is with a company that intends producing a quiz show, hosted by a major Bollywood star, for national and digital television in India. The second agreement is to provide a location based subscription service for parents in Australia and New Zealand to track their children's movements using the latest satellite tracking technology via an internet portal.
Mr Bracknell says that in each case, the pricing of the agreement consists of a licensing component, coupled with guaranteed monthly minimum revenue. The minimum value of each agreement is expected to exceed $Aus2.5 million.
"We are at a point where the market is becoming increasingly aware of the manifold applications of the Plus SMS products and these first two contracts demonstrate that it is willing to pay a good price for the benefits our products can deliver," says Mr Bracknell.
