A Toast to New Zealand’s Top Wines

Auckland, New Zealand - June 6, 2006 – The wine industry in New Zealand combines passion, knowledge and ingenuity to create a reputation of quality and creativity. Celebrating this exciting industry is a brand new publication, The Entertainment Wine Book.

Launching in Auckland on June 20th, the Entertainment Wine Book highlights six main wine growing regions, showcasing top winery cellar doors, winery restaurants, local accommodation and wine country activities. –Each business invites book owners to enjoy valuable, introductory offers from many of New Zealand’s best. Leading wineries include Villa Maria, Montana Wines, Kim Crawford, Wither Hills, Giesen Wines, Palliser Estate and Gibbston Valley. Leading restaurants include Terroir, Cin Cin on Quay, Bracu, The Hunting Lodge, Wharekauhu Country Estate, and Opihi Vineyard Café. For every business featured, the consumer receives 25% - 50% off the regular price of their purchases.

Published by the same company that publishes the popular Entertainment Books, the six wine regions include: Auckland and surrounds, Hawkes Bay, Martinborough / Wairarapa, Marlborough / Nelson, Canterbury / Waipara, and Central Otago. “The Entertainment Wine Book captures the spirit of the growing New Zealand wine industry, and is an ideal companion for those passionate about food and wine and a must-have when visiting the wine regions of New Zealand” stated Wine Book Regional Manager, Brian McGinn.

Launching over a six-course degustation dinner at Auckland’s Cin Cin on Quay Restaurant on Tuesday, June 20th, Restaurant Manager Peter Allen said, “Each course is to be matched with a wine from each region featured in the publication. This is an ideal occasion to literally taste what the Entertainment Wine Book has to offer.”

The Entertainment Wine Book will be distributed to Entertainment Book Cardholders as well as used as a fund-raiser throughout the community. Business social clubs, professional associations, and sporting organisations can distribute them as a fund raiser or member benefit for $50, with $10 retained for their cause.
