Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) is taking calls from farmers needing help following snow falls, heavy rain and high winds.

Members of Federated Farmers wanting help can ring 0800 FARMING (0800 327 646) or email admin@fedfarm.org.nz

The main problem being reported is power outages, and snow restricting stock movement and access around farms.

At this stage of the year most farms will have plenty of dry matter feed for stock. The problem is getting it out to them.
