ANZ Makes Life Simpler For Customers

ANZ Makes Life Simpler For Customers

ANZ is making transactional banking a lot simpler for personal customers with its new Everyday Account – offering unlimited everyday transactions for just $5 a month.

“New Zealanders are natural transactors – per person, we have the lowest amount of cash in circulation in the Western world,” ANZ Retail Banking Managing Director Steven Fyfe said.

“It’s amazing we don’t melt the plastic off our Night and Day cards. “But until now, no one has offered a bank account to match this behaviour. At ANZ, we listened to what our customers were telling us and we’re now offering an exciting transaction account that really does meet their needs,” Mr Fyfe said.

The Everyday Account is the latest ANZ product designed to best meet the needs of customers – following the successful launches of the ANZ Online Call Account, the ANZ Low Rate Mastercard and the ANZ PIX card.

The new account is simple, it allows customers to transact the way they want and it’s easy to arrange. Personal customers can apply online, by post and over the phone, as well as coming into a branch.

It will appeal to a wide range of customers, but especially those who use EFTPOS regularly for small purchases, don’t like to carry around too much cash, prefer to make deposits and withdrawals in a branch and use cheques.

Specifically, the Everyday Account offers: • Unlimited transactions using ANZ and National Bank ATMs, EFTPOS and personal cheques, as well as phone, internet and branch deposits and withdrawals, for just $5 a month • No minimum balance • An optional overdraft facility on application • Comprehensive access points through New Zealand’s biggest network of more than 700 ATMs, EFTPOS, phone and Internet banking, personal cheque and in-branch banking • As a special offer, there are no automatic payment establishment fees on Everyday Accounts opened between August 7 and September 30
