CMA Elects New President

The Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association has announced that E.C. Gough Chief Executive John Errington has been elected President at its 127th Annual General Meeting. Mr. Errington replaces Holcim New Zealand CEO Rex Williams who has served in the role since 2004.

The office of President is the most senior position within the CMA and is held for a two year term.

Mr. Errington has an extensive record of service to the CMA, serving as both a member of the Association’s governing Council and Executive bodies since 1990 and Junior Vice-President for the past two years.

CEO John Walley welcomed Mr. Errington’s election as President and says, “High quality governance is probably the key reason that the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association has been around for over 127 years, as CEO of the organisation having the support and access to experienced governance massively enhances what the Association can do for our members.”

The Association’s members also elected A.W. Fraser CEO Gordon Sutherland as Senior Vice-President while Allen Voss, General Manager of Davin Industries Limited, assumes the office of Junior Vice President.
