Dominion Finance Holdings Names New CEO

Dominion Finance Holdings Ltd has appointed Paul Cropp as its new Chief Executive Officer. He takes up the position following the decision last month by Terry Butler to relinquish his role of CEO of the Group to become Deputy Chairman.

Chairman Rick Bettle said the company is very pleased to have secured the services of someone of Paul’s calibre.

“He is widely experienced in the banking and financial services sector and has worked in senior executive roles with several of the major finance companies and banks.

“Paul is the ideal person to progress the Group to the next stage which will enable Terry to concentrate on his new role of Deputy Chairman responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions”.

Prior to joining Dominion Finance Holdings Ltd Cropp was CEO of Hanover Financial Services Limited, responsible for the five New Zealand issuing companies of the Hanover Group.

Cropp says he has long been an admirer of what Dominion Finance has achieved.

“I have been very impressed by the way they have progressively built up the business in a conservative and controlled manner and I look forward to the challenge of leading the Dominion Finance Holdings Group to the next level.”

Cropp has an MBA from Auckland University as well as a Diploma of Business Finance and is a member of the Government Advisory Group for the review of Financial Services Providers, Member of the Institute of Directors and Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

He takes up his position on 9 October 2006.
