Tight Time Frame Part Of Capital Web Company’s ‘Stock-In-Trade’ As It Completes Major Government Project - 3months.com web development of NZLive.com site completed in record time

Wellington, 9 October, 2006 - Wellington web development company 3months.com is used to operating within the tight timeframes indicated by its name, but developing the Ministry of Culture & Heritage NZLive.com website was a little tighter than usual.

The NZLive.com site, launched last week by the Prime Minister, is a major showpiece for New Zealand’s cultural events. The team at 3months.com, were given under three months to have the sophisticated, high profile website ready for launch.

“It was tight, but fortunately we’ve got the expertise and attitude needed for a major development like this,” said 3months.com director Mark Pascall. It was very much a collaborative project with the Ministry and we’re very proud of what the team was able to achieve.”

“It may seem simple and easy to use, which it is, but the site really does use some of the best website technology currently available anywhere,” said Mr Pascall.

The website is also standards compliant, meaning it meets international website standards for usability by those with disabilities. “In the timeframe we had, to have a complex site like NZLive meet the necessary compliance standards is really a significant achievement,” Mr Pascall said.

The NZLive project compliments other, ground-breaking work undertaken by the innovative company, including development of the NZ Post’s personalised stamps website and the Department of Labour’s NewZealandNow.info websites. It has also completed many other commercial and government web projects.

“As a company, we believe we’re equipped to handle major projects of this kind with a kiwi ‘can do’ attitude, combined with great, open source and proprietary software. It’s an unbeatable combination,” Mr Pascall said.
