New Appointments at NZ Lotteries

New Appointments at NZ Lotteries

Two new executive appointments have been made at NZ Lotteries, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Todd McLeay.

Wayne Pickup has been appointed Chief Information Officer. Mr Pickup previously held the position IT Projects Director at NZ Lotteries for three years where he played an integral role in the implementation of a new Gaming System, new lottery terminals and the extensive modification of NZ Lotteries' new national headquarters on Khyber Pass Road.

In his new role Mr Pickup will be responsible for IT operations at NZ Lotteries, providing strategic direction and centralised management of staff and budgets.

Previous to NZ Lotteries Mr Pickup worked at EssNet in Stockholm as a Project Manager and Product Manager. EssNet is a technology and systems provider for many of Europe's largest and most successful lotteries.

Jude Urlich has been appointed Head of Communications and Government Relations.

Ms Urlich brings to the role an extensive background in communications and public relations and has most recently worked at Victoria University as their Director of Public Affairs. Prior to that she directed her own consultancy and has held marketing and communications management positions in the public sector.

NZ Lotteries executive team now comprises Chief Executive Todd McLeay, Deputy Chief Executive Warren Salisbury, Head of Marketing Evan Lawrey, General Manager Retail Sales Chris Lyman, Mr Pickup and Ms Urlich.
