Cairns Lockie Limited Home Loan Lenders

Press Release 30 October 2006

Cairns Lockie Releases New 2 Year Rate

Home loan lenders, Cairns Lockie Limited announced today a special two year rate for new and existing borrowers, with immediate effect.

The new rate is 8.09% fixed for 2 years.

Mr Lockie said that the new rate brings the Cairns Lockie 2 year fixed rate below the standard rate offered by the five trading banks. “There has been a lot of talk and advertising, about rates that cannot be beaten”, he said “well, we just have!”

“The Cairns Lockie floating rate has been amongst the lowest in the market for a number of years, and significantly lower than the rate offered by the five trading banks”, Mr Lockie said, “it is time that borrowers had available a low fixed rate alternative too.”

Cairns Lockie continues to receive most of its business from clients refinancing away from trading banks. Mr Lockie noted that clients switch lenders to take advantage of more flexible lending options with no ongoing fees.

Cairns Lockie Limited is a home loan lending company specialising in residential and residential investment lending. It has a strong internet presence through its site www.emortgage.co.nz
