New Director For Star Public Relations

Fonterra Shareholders’ Council General Manager Susan Webb has joined long-time public relations practitioners Cedric Allan and Malcolm Boyle in their new corporate consultancy Star Public Relations Limited.

Mrs Webb, who also has a background in change management and business analysis in the health and agricultural sectors, will become the third director of the Auckland Viaduct-based company. Star Public Relations specialises in corporate communications and reputation management, investor relations, major infrastructure projects and strategic advisory work.

Allan and Boyle have worked together at various times in their more than 30 years of experience in the public relations industry, and Mrs Webb’s experience includes senior finance and commercial positions in the health, meat and dairy sectors.

Boyle and Allan’s previous consultancy was bought by Clemenger Group in 2001 and merged into Porter Novelli which they ran for more than four years, attracting significant corporate business including Air New Zealand, Westpac Bank and Television New Zealand. Cedric Allan was recently awarded life membership of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand.

Star Public Relations has also attracted former Baldwin Boyle Group senior consultant Alan McDonald, and experienced freelance practitioner Paula Jackson, who is a specialist in local government communications work.

Mr Allan said the new company had already attracted a strong portfolio of corporate clients, and progress to date had been “extremely encouraging”.
