New website puts New Zealand businesses on the map

New website puts New Zealand businesses on the map

MEDIA RELEASE 28 NOV 06: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Now Kiwi businesses can put themselves on the map worldwide with a new website: 'www.onlyinnz.com'. According to Director, Jeremy Irons, "onlyinnz.com is intended to be the leading advertising site for all things that make New Zealand a wonderful place to live and visit."

Mr. Irons should know. A former UK resident, Jeremy moved to New Zealand a year ago after falling in love with the country. "One of the difficulties in accessing the wonderful products, services and experiences that run the length and breadth of this land is finding them all," he says. "There was a considerable opportunity to help Kiwi businesses show the world the unique things they offer."

'onlyinnz.com' has already attracted 84 advertisers. Unlike other websites, directories or search engines that help promote businesses via hundreds of pages, the site offers a unique way to ensure every firm is advertised on the front page. "Search Costs are a common problem with the internet," Jeremy explains. "The solution offered with 'onlyinnz.com' is to provide the New Zealand map on the home page so businesses can purchase space around their region or elsewhere on the map if desired. In turn, users can see what's on offer right in front of their eyes without having to search or scroll through tiresome lists."

A browse of the 'onlyinnz.com' map demonstrates how simple the site is to use. Simply by running the mouse over logos or images in the desired region, visitors can gain a clear and concise description of what each advertiser offers, while a click takes the user to the advertiser's website for more detailed information, bookings or sales.

Already a good number of local firms and popular attractions are on the 'onlyinnz.com' map. These include the likes of Orana Wildlife Park, Carter Observatory, Wellington Zoo, Christchurch Art Gallery, Crystal Mountain, Billi Tees and Coffee LaLa to name but a few. Of particular interest is a separate review page, which provides an unusual and irreverent behind the scenes insight into individual advertisers - the how and why questions we would all like to ask. This month features the Kiwi Tub Company, a unique Kiwi spa pool invention that does not require chemicals, electricity or moving parts and whose owner we find out likes Helena Bonham Carter.

You can currently advertise on 'onlyinnz.com' for a minimum cost of only $30 for one year onscreen. "It is an amazingly affordable way to connect with visitors to New Zealand and local residents," Jeremy states. "By making our site a captivating and unique snapshot of New Zealand each and every year, we bring new customers to our advertisers in a very easy, enjoyable and economical way."
