While Harcourts’ www.harcourts.co.nz website has been in operation for over a decade and is consistently the most visited real estate company website in the country, The Academy’s new website focuses purely on the information needs of those looking to join or progress in the industry. With six fulltime trainers and close to 500 training days run by The Academy each year throughout its Australasian operation, Head of The Harcourts Academy, Irene Green noted www.harcourtsacademy.com provided a valuable forum to reinforce Harcourts’ professional approach to resource this part of its operation and upskill the industry as a whole.

The Harcourts Academy was first launched in early 2002 in response to Massey University research which found a looming industry crisis of decreasing skills. Since then, The Academy’s close association with Massey University has included offering a Sales Management programme and papers towards the AREINZ real estate industry qualifications and Graduate Diploma in Business Studies.
In Australia, Harcourts has official accreditation as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) enabling sales consultants to gain nationally recognised credits towards their sales certification. Harcourts Australia also has an association with the Australian Property and Business College for its consultants to obtain credits towards a higher industry qualification.
