A festive first at lakeside’s threesixty

Press release from threesixty, Queenstown
Wednesday 13 December 2006

A festive first at lakeside’s threesixty

Fine food and exquisitely festive surroundings combine to create a memorable Christmas and New Year’s Eve experience at Queenstown’s only fusion restaurant, threesixty.

threesixty will mark its first Christmas with a celebration aimed at family and friends. Bubbly or a soft drink on arrival at 12:30pm will be followed by a sumptuous traditional festive lunch buffet, featuring the region’s finest fresh produce.

A children’s Christmas movie will be screened at 1:30pm to occupy the younger diners.

Brendan Cook, threesixty operations manager, says he’s planned a fun Christmas Day with a focus on fantastic food in a relaxing environment.

“Our Christmas Day menu will feature a few new flavours like barbeque spiced pork belly and maple panacotta with chocolate candy floss. We’ll also have firm favourites like Manuka smoked salmon and Nana Dysart’s legendary trifle.”

New Year at threesixty will be smooth and sophisticated. The evening begins at 8:00pm with live jazz from internationally renowned local vocalist Hine Marchand.

A three course a la carte menu has been specially created for the evening and each table of diners will receive a bottle of Central Otago Pinot Noir, to help celebrate.

A VIP Champagne Countdown on the Crowne Plaza hotel balcony follows, and as midnight strikes the views of the fireworks over Lake Wakatipu will be spectacular.

“New Year’s Eve at threesixty is all about treating yourself, or a loved one, to a sophisticated evening experience. Great food and wonderful music from Hine Marchand will build towards a midnight countdown and an awesome view of the fireworks. It’s going to be nothing short of the whole experience,” said Mr Cook.

Space is limited and bookings are essential; to reserve your table contact eat@threesixtyrestaurant.co.nz or call 03 442 5 360.
