First villa completed in $35 million+ development

The first villa in a premium $35 million plus Queenstown development has opened its doors ahead of final completion of the five-year project.

Number 5 Commonage Close is the first of 14 villas to be completed in a Queenstown Hill alpine-style development that sets new standards of excellence in residential and visitor accommodation.

Enjoying uninterrupted 180-degree views over Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and surrounding mountains, nine of the 14 Commonage Close villas have already been bought by New Zealand and overseas investors.

The three bedroom, three bathroom villas, ranging from 257m2 to 336m2 (2,776 to 3,938 sq feet), feature natural materials, large timbers, wide sloping roofs and overhanging eaves, indoor and outdoor living areas to maximise sun, and are only a ten minute walk to the heart of Queenstown.

“Discerning buyers have recognised that Commonage Close is a standout investment thanks to its unbeatable combination of premium location, international design and unrivalled quality,” said Villasqueenstown director Wayne Foley.

“We’re thrilled to have Number 5 open as our ‘show’ villa, furnished with exquisite taste and style. The feedback has been phenomenal,” he said.

“This is a world class investment opportunity in a world class location, and we have seen no shortage of international buyers who continue to be attracted to New Zealand and Queenstown if the property meets all the criteria for investment, as Commonage Close is achieving that.”

The Villasqueenstown.com developers have now relocated their office to the development site on Queenstown Hill to oversee the finishing touches, as completion of the project villas draws closer. The front row of villas will be ready by the end of April, ahead of schedule, and remaining back row properties will be completed in August.
