The Highlands Releases New Premium Sections at Jacks Point
Hanover Property has today unveiled its first show home in the exclusive 'The Highlands' area of Queenstown's Jacks Point development to mark the release of a further 35 premium sites to the market.
The display home will be used as an onsite sales office and the design is one of three options available to property owners at The Highlands on an exclusive basis. The home has been designed by Christchurch based Modern Architecture Partners (MAP), while the two alternate designs to be made available to owners have been developed by architects Michael Wyatt and Tony Koia respectively.
The release of 35 new sites onto the market represents the balance of sites in what's known as Neighbourhood 5 and includes some largest sections in the development - up to 3020 sq metres. The section sizes in the latest release start at 905 sq metres and they're priced between $425,000 and $675,000.
Hanover Property CEO Patrick Daly says there's been strong interest in The Highlands at Jacks Point since it first hit the market in June last year. "There's been a lot of interest from Kiwis currently living overseas and from North Islanders who are attracted by the investment potential. Many of them are attracted by the opportunity to 'land bank' in the valuable Queenstown region as there is no deadline by which owners have to build on their sections."
Jacks Point is Queenstown's first resort community and is set in a 3000 acre nature preserve on the shores of Lake Wakatipu about 15 minutes drive from Queenstown and 10 minutes from the airport. It will comprise residential neighbourhoods, a waterfront village, boat launching & wharf facility, and 18 hole championship golf course. Just five per cent of the site is available for development; the remainder is reserved for open parklands and recreation.
