Media Industry Veteran to Lead MSN NZ
Auckland, New Zealand, 10 May 2007: MSN NZ has appointed media industry veteran Liz Fraser to lead the company as New Zealand Business Manager. Fraser, a former senior TVNZ programmer and sales manager, will further strengthen the position of msn.co.nz as a leading source of information and entertainment for New Zealanders.
Fraser has more than 14 years of television experience, working across sales, marketing and programming disciplines, with the past four years at senior management level. Her ability to select content and understand customer needs will help MSN NZ further build its appeal to advertisers.
"I'm really excited about the opportunities ahead for MSN NZ which I believe offers a unique proposition for consumers and advertisers alike. Our existing partnerships and strong support from the New Zealand advertising industry has resulted in a great start for this new business," said Fraser.
msn.co.nz launched in New Zealand on 1 March and has already become the second most visited website in the country, according to Nielsen//NetRatings. Some 1.2 million Kiwis a month now turn to msn.co.nz for Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger as well as breaking news, weather, sport, jobs, fashion, lifestyle, classifieds and personals.
Backed by Microsoft New Zealand, ACP Media and online media company ninemsn, MSN NZ obtains additional local content from its partners TV3, SEEK and online sports site Sportal. Liz Fraser will report to ninemsn COO Nick Spooner.
