Wot’s a Wot Hotel?

Wot’s a Wot Hotel?
Wotif.com’s mystery hotel feature delivers even better accommodation deals

Auckland – 26 June 2006: Wotif.com (www.wotif.com), Australasia’s leading accommodation website, has introduced a new feature to offer consumers even better rates. The trade-off being that they won’t know ‘Wot Hotel’ they are booking.

The “Wot Hotel?” feature is reminiscent of the days of the Mystery Flight as customers only find out the hotel’s name, rating and a general description after they have made a booking.
Wotif.com’s New Zealand Manager, Tania Witheford, commented: “The Wot Hotel feature is a win-win for hotels and consumers. Hotels get to drop their rates without affecting the way people perceive their brand and consumers get even better deals at great hotels.

“We have had an exceptional response from our hoteliers who want to be a part of this promotion and are offering some great rates in major city centres and tourist destinations,” she added.

For those wanting to take a spontaneous winter break, the deals are easy to find, being highlighted in black on Wotif.com’s predominantly green grid of deals, and are available at properties all around New Zealand as well as in Australia and many international destinations.

“These deals suit people who want to take a break but don’t mind what hotel they stay in, as long as it is a certain standard and in the right location.

“People travelling internationally can also book a Wot Hotel if they are comfortable enough with the destination to leave the hotel name and detail to chance,” said Witheford.
Some of the great deals available for consumers are:
