8 July 2007
Telarc SAI Limited, New Zealand’s largest assurance provider, today announced it acquired the operations of the New Zealand Council on Healthcare Standards, trading as Quality Health New Zealand.
The combined company will be the largest provider of health sector accreditation and certification in New Zealand.
On announcing the transaction, Chief Executive of Telarc SAI Peter Rose said that the merger would ensure that the customers of both companies will continue to receive quality services and programmes, but that over time the increased scale of the company will allow more programmes to be developed and offered to clients in the health industry.
“Our business is about providing leading accreditation and certification services to New Zealand businesses. Through the combined client base we will be able to ensure that we can take the world’s leading processes and customise them for the New Zealand health sector.
“Both organisations have a proud record of delivering services to the sector and we aim to ensure that at a practical level clients will continue to work with their existing team.”
“In terms of customer experience it’s very much business as usual while we work behind the scenes to achieve the benefits our new reach and scale will provide,” said Mr Rose.
