Fonterra Shareholders Reminded To Vote

20 September 2007

Media Release

Fonterra Shareholders Reminded To Vote

With less than one week of voting remaining in Fonterra’s Board of Directors’ election, almost 27 per cent of votes have already been cast.  Three Directors are being elected from five candidates.

Voting closes at midday on Tuesday 25 September 2007 and time now only allows for shareholders to vote by internet or fax.

“I remind shareholders to take this opportunity to exercise their right to vote as soon as possible and have a say,” says Returning Officer Warwick Lampp.

“Any shareholder who has lost or has not received their Voter Pack should contact me immediately for a replacement on the Election Hotline – free phone 0508 666 446.”

Online secure voting through Fencepost.com is being used again this year with internet voting proving to be more popular than voting by fax.  “Online voting is a better option for those last minute voters as it doesn’t delay the counting,” says Mr Lampp.

Election results will be announced by the Shareholders’ Council Chairman at Fonterra’s Annual Meeting at the Mystery Creek Convention Centre, Hamilton on Wednesday 26 September 2007. All shareholders will be advised of the election results in a letter from the Board Chair.

Any queries regarding the election should be directed to the Election Hotline on free phone 0508 666 446.
