Swiftnet's WiMAX infrastructure arrives in NZ
"Swiftnet" the company formed by Bizness Connect.Com to deliver it's high speed wireless broadband to the regions it has licences to serve in has received confirmation that the infrastructure it will be using to deploy their WiMAX network has arrived in the country.
Swiftnet researched providers of WiMAX infrastructure and selected Alvarion as their preferred provider, With more than 2 million units deployed in 150 countries, Alvarion is the world's leading provider of innovative wireless network solutions that enables the delivery of business and residential broadband access, corporate VPN's, toll quality telephony, mobile base station feeding, hotspot coverage, community interconnection, public safety communications and mobile voice and data.
Alvarion has the most extensive network deployments and proven product portfolio in the industry covering the full range of frequency bands with both fixed and mobile solutions.
"With the Alvarion infrastructure in New Zealand, Swiftnet is currently negotiating with building owners to erect the first base stations in Hastings and Masterton for final testing before a launch date can be confirmed, says Reihana Sciascia who is the Chief Operating Officer(COO) of Swiftnet Limited.

Swiftnet are yet to confirm a launch date as to when their services will be available to the public.
