Citroën’s DriveEurope programme does away with all the traditional problems of renting a car in Europe.

For most people the biggest single problem with renting a car in Europe is the cost. But Citroën’s DriveEurope programme starts from as little as $29 per day. And this is an all-inclusive price, covering insurance with no excess, unlimited mileage and with no hidden costs. As an extra bonus, it is paid in New Zealand, in New Zealand dollars, so there is no worry about exchange rates and hidden credit card exchange charges.

The entire transaction is completed in New Zealand before travel All you do on arrival in Europe is collect your car and set off on your holiday.

The beauty of a holiday in Europe is the ability to travel freely from country to country, seeing thousands of different sights and experiencing many different cultures. Except car rental companies do not like their cars to be driving across Europe out of the country in which they were rented.

Not Citroën DriveEurope.

From Ireland and Portugal in the West to Turkey and Israel in the East, from Morocco and Tunisia in the South to Finland and Norway in the North, as well as including countries like the Ukraine and Belarus, the user of Citroën DriveEurope car is free to road where they want, to a total of 40 countries. Across all of these countries, support is provided by 15,000 Citroën dealers and the assurance of 24 hour roadside assistance.

With a car rental company, while you can request a particular size of car, until you arrive to collect it, you do not know what you are going to get.

Not with Citroën DriveEurope.

The car you order is the car you get because Citroën will build a car specifically to your order. This means that not only do you get the car you need, but it can also be specified as diesel or petrol, manual or automatic and with specific equipment, such as SatNav, child safety seats, roof racks or snow chains.

Citroën’s range of cars also beats most car rental fleets.

It opens with the compact Citroën C3 five door hatch, includes the medium size Citroën C4 hatch and its sporty brother, the C4 Coupe. There is the C3 Pluriel Convertible, the new full size Citroën C5 sedan and estate and the car range is topped – new for 2008 – by the prestige and luxury of the Citroën C6.

The range also includes no less than seven different people movers, from the compact Berlingo Multispace, through the Xsara and C4 Picasso models with a choice of five and seven seats, the full size C8 people mover and for people who need maximum people and luggage space, to the Jumpy eight and nine seat minibuses. All models have air conditioning, ABS brakes and CD audio systems.

For maximum flexibility, a Citroën DriveEurope car may be picked up in no less than 30 different places in France at no extra cost and for a small fee in other countries, including Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Car rental companies are not renowned for giving things away for free, but again Citroën DriveEurope beats them. On selected models in the 2008 programme Citroën is offering up to 12 days free – that’s nearly two weeks free driving in Europe.

Booking a Citroën DriveEurope car could not be easier, either through leading travel agents or with Citroën New Zealand direct via its dealers or www.citroen.co.nz. Indeed, Citroën Australia and New Zealand provides more cars through the DriveEurope programme than any other country and, therefore, has unrivalled expertise in assisting customers to choose the right car for their European adventure.
