Noel Leeming Annouces Sponsorship Gold

One hundred days out from world’s most anticipated sporting event, leading appliance and electronics retailer, Noel Leeming, has announced an exclusive sponsorship deal as the official retail partner to the New Zealand Olympic team to Beijing 2008.

The partnership means Noel Leeming is the only appliance and electronics retailer in the country that can offer its customers an Olympic experience in store. Customers will not only be able to view key events during the day, they will be able to watch them on the highest quality picture, thanks to the High Definition Television and Freeview technology in store.

Noel Leeming’s CEO, Andrew Dutkiewicz, is thrilled to announce the sponsorship and says the whole company is excited to be getting behind the nation’s Olympic team.

“This is a great opportunity for Noel Leeming and in August we are looking forward to supporting the inspirational athletes who will make New Zealand proud this year in Beijing. We plan on bringing the excitement and the passion of the games to all of our 57 stores nationwide, to give our customers a unique Olympic shopping experience,” he says.

The NZOC Director Secretary General, Barry Maister, says Noel Leeming is a perfect retail partner for the New Zealand Olympic Committee and the New Zealand Olympic Team to Beijing 2008. Not only is Noel Leeming a trusted and credible Kiwi store, being a nationwide electronics and appliance retailer is a really nice fit.

“Noel Leeming is a heritage brand. We are delighted our new partner is so supportive of our high performance athletes and are helping represent New Zealand on the world’s stage.”
