Support to bring more visitors to Northland

14 July 2008

Media Release

Overwhelming support to bring more visitors to Northland

With fantastic feedback from business travellers heading north from Auckland to Whangarei and Kerikeri using the new scheduled air services; Salt Air (www.saltair.co.nz) was pleased to take part in the Northland Naturally Roadshow this week.

“We have just returned from the Roadshow which was hosted by Destination Northland and the Langham Hotel in Auckland. Along with 28 other Northland tourism operators this was a great opportunity to meet with New Zealand’s leading Inbound Operators, Wholesalers and Retail Agents who actively promote tourism travel to Northland.”

“Having received strong support from the Agency sector over the last 16 years in selling our Northland Scenic Air Tours, it was great to come back this year with a scheduled air service offering to Northland”

“There was overwhelming support as many agents saw great potential to utilise this service when structuring packages for Northland. Many were confident that this will create a real opportunity for more overseas visitors to add Northland to their itinerary.”

“Agents especially liked the idea of being able to utilise the Salt Air free Downtown Auckland Bus pickup.” Says Grant.
